Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 2 large peppers
- 4 large carrots
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 1 onion(s)
- 3 garlic cloves, as desired
- 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
- 2 cans of tomatoes, peeled, 250 g each
- salt and pepper
- e.g. chili powder
- e.g. Paprika powder, hot
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Puree the carrots and set aside, then puree the bell peppers and set aside. Sauté the onion in a pan, add the minced meat, and fry until crispy. Season the minced meat with pepper, salt, chili powder, and paprika, and add the garlic. Mix the tomato paste with the minced meat, add the pureed carrots and bell peppers, and simmer gently. Finally, add the peeled tomatoes (important: do not crush the tomatoes yet). Simmer the Bolognese on low heat for about 1 hour, then crush the tomatoes. Serve with pasta or spaghetti, if desired.
