Delicious orange cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g flour
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 400 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 orange(s), untreated, grated peel
  • Jam, (orange jam)
  • 2 packs of chocolate coating
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Put the flour, powdered sugar, butter, egg, and three egg yolks in a bowl. Mix well and add a little grated orange zest. Knead the dough thoroughly and chill. Roll out the dough and cut into two round shapes of different sizes, making sure to cut a hole in the center of the smaller one. Brush the cookies with egg yolk and bake for 10 minutes at 180°C. When the cookies have turned a golden brown color, remove them from the oven and place a small dollop of orange marmalade in the center of the larger cookie, then press the smaller cookie with the hole on top. Cover with the melted chocolate coating and finally sprinkle the remaining grated orange zest on top.
