Delicious rice casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 400 ml cream
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • herbal salt
  • pepper
  • n. B. Tilsiter for gratin

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

First, bring the rice to a boil with twice the amount of water. At the same time, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Then mix the tomato paste with the ground beef. Now add the cream and season everything with herb salt to taste. Now add the cooked rice and mix everything well. Season again to taste. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and cover with cheese. I always use Tilsiter. Place the baking dish in an oven preheated to 200°C (fan oven) and bake for 10 minutes. Tip: If you like, you can also chop up bell peppers or zucchini and add it to the casserole.
