pimped version of Sloppy Joe
Prepare all the ingredients. Finely chop the onion and bell pepper. Brown the onions and ground beef in a large pan. I always let it cook for a short time so it gets a light roasted flavor. At the same time, brown the diced bacon in a second small pan, but you can of course prepare this in the same pan beforehand. Then add the bell pepper and a little water and cook for a few more minutes. Then add all the other ingredients. Simmer everything for about 30 minutes until it has a slightly firmer consistency. I also use homemade buns and drizzle some homemade ranch sauce over the filling. Finally, you can garnish the whole thing with a few cucumber slices.
