Delicious semolina dessert for children

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk + 2 tbsp
  • ½ m.-sized lemon(s), zest, organic
  • 1 cinnamon stick(s)
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 g wheat semolina
  • 2 medium-sized egg yolks
  • 2 m.-large egg whites
  • 250 g strawberries, fresh
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 25 g powdered sugar

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring 500 ml of milk to a boil with the lemon zest, cinnamon stick, sugar, and salt, then remove the cinnamon stick. Sprinkle the semolina into the milk and bring to a boil briefly. Combine the egg yolk with the remaining milk, add, and bring to a boil once. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then carefully fold into the hot mixture. Pour the mixture into molds rinsed with cold water and allow to cool. Turn the dessert out of the molds onto dessert plates. Wash and stem the strawberries, puree them with lemon juice and powdered sugar, and serve with the semolina dessert. Approx. 262 kcal per serving.
