Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 200 g Rice pudding
  • 600 ml Low fat milk
  • 50 ml Liquid cream
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • Sugar or sweetener to your own taste
  • Amarena cherries -in-house production-
  • -

Instructions

Preparation:

  • Put the rice pudding in a saucepan ... halve the vanilla pod ... quarter and place on top of the rice. Add cold water and the pinch until the rice is about 1cm covered.
  • Bring the rice to the boil ... turn the heat down (to 3 of 9 settings), stir well and close the lid. When you can no longer see the water (after approx. 10 minutes), fill up with milk to 1 cm above the rice. Close the lid again.
  • Repeat this process until all of the milk is used up. Don't forget to stir thoroughly in between, otherwise the rice will stick.
  • The whole process takes about 45 minutes, depending on how robust or soft you like the rice pudding. With us it is enjoyed nice and soft and sloppy.
  • When the rice is done cooked ... remove it from the stove ... stir in the sweetener or sugar and stir in the cream. Divide the rice pudding between 6 dessert glasses and chill.

Finish:

  • Before serving, put 1 tablespoon of Amarena cherries in the middle and enjoy.

Annotation:

  • This is the last well-kept glass from my supply. Comes from the production on March 6, 2011 (photo) They still taste super good and something delicious ... and so easy to make yourself. Now I also know how long they can be kept at least ;-)))
