Dessert: MILK RICE with Amarena Cherries

The perfect dessert: milk rice with amarena cherries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g Rice pudding
  • 600 ml Low-Fat milk
  • 50 ml Liquid cream
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • Sugar or sweetener to your own taste
  • Amarena cherries -in-house production-
  • Kochb / recipe / 377617 / Dessert-AMARENA CHERRIES-self-made.html

Preparation:

  1. Put the rice pudding in a saucepan … halve the vanilla pod … quarter and place on top of the rice. Add cold water and the pinch until the rice is about 1cm covered.
  2. Bring the rice to the boil … turn the heat down (to 3 of 9 settings), stir well and close the lid. When you can no longer see the water (after approx. 10 minutes), fill up with milk to 1 cm above the rice. Close the lid again.
  3. Repeat this process until all of the milk is used up. Don’t forget to stir thoroughly in between, otherwise the rice will stick.
  4. The whole process takes about 45 minutes, depending on how robust or soft you like the rice pudding. With us it is enjoyed nice and soft and sloppy.
  5. When the rice is done cooked … remove it from the stove … stir in the sweetener or sugar and stir in the cream. Divide the rice pudding between 6 dessert glasses and chill.

Finish:

  1. Before serving, put 1 tablespoon of Amarena cherries in the middle and enjoy.

Annotation:

  1. This is the last well-kept glass from my supply. Comes from the production on March 6, 2011 (photo) They still taste super good and something delicious … and so easy to make yourself. Now I also know how long they can be kept at least ;-)))
