Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 5 grains of allspice
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 bunch dill, finely chopped
  • some sauce thickener
  • 1 dash of cream
  • some lemon juice
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pour enough water into a small saucepan to make the sauce. Then add the onion, allspice, a pinch of salt, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken the sauce slightly, in this case with a sauce thickener, and strain. Return it to the pan and add just a dash of cream and the dill. Mix well, and season with salt and lemon juice. It’s great with potatoes and fish.
