Dispose of aluminum foil: You should pay attention to this
The correct separation of waste is not only important for recycling. In some places, the yellow sack is not taken away if the garbage disposal discovers items that have been disposed of incorrectly.
- In principle, only packaging waste belongs in the yellow sack. Each manufacturer pays a small contribution for each packaged item, which finances disposal.
- Aluminum foil does not actually belong to this packaging waste and should therefore actually belong to the residual waste. However, this does not really make sense due to the waste incineration.
- Since the aluminum foil is easy to sort out and recycle, you should throw it in the yellow sack or bin. The film is then sorted and recycled in the appropriate facilities.
- Incidentally, the same also applies to aluminum trays or cans made of aluminum: These usually count as packaging because they contained food and can be put in the yellow bin.
