Ingredients for 4 servings:
- ½ onion(s)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 ½ cups long grain rice
- 1 can tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tbsp chicken broth powder
- 3 tbsp ajvar
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 pinches of pepper
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 ½ cup(s) peas, frozen or fresh, shelled, 200 g each
- ½ bell pepper(s), red
- 1 tbsp parsley, frozen
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Finely chop the onion, press the garlic clove, and sauté both in butter. Add the rice, chopped tomatoes, bouillon powder, ajvar, and water, and season generously with the spices. Add the peas and diced bell pepper and simmer for about 20 minutes. Stir in the parsley before serving. Serve with cevapcici. Note: The serving size is one cup (238 ml).
