Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 g honey
- 100 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 250 g flour
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 1 tbsp gingerbread spice
- 100 g nuts, ground
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 g marzipan – raw mass
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 200 g jam (orange jam)
- 400 g cake icing (cocoa icing)
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Heat the honey, sugar, and butter until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool slightly. Combine the flour, baking powder, gingerbread spice, nuts, and egg in a bowl. Slowly add the cooled honey mixture, stirring constantly with the dough hook of a hand mixer. Continue kneading until the dough is smooth. Spread the dough onto a greased (or lined) baking sheet (approx. 30×20 cm). Place in the oven at 175°C and bake for about 25 minutes. Allow to cool. Meanwhile, knead the marzipan with the powdered sugar and rose water. Roll out between sheets of cling film the size of the cake plate. Strain the jam through a sieve and stir until smooth. Cut the cake plate in half horizontally. Spread the bottom half with jam. Cover with the marzipan plate and spread with more jam. Place the second cake plate on top and press down firmly. Cut into cubes (about 2.5 x 2.5 cm). Melt the crumbled cocoa powder in a hot water bath. Dip the dominoes into the cubes. Let them dry.
