Donauwelle à la Melly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 350 g flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 jar sour cherries
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener (san-apart)
  • 2 packs of cake icing (chocolate)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

For the dough, make a batter from margarine, sugar, flour, eggs, and baking powder. Divide the dough in half. To one half, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of milk. Spread the light batter first, then the dark batter. Use a fork to drizzle over the cake like you would a marble cake, creating a marbled effect. Finally, drain the cherries and scatter them on top. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Once the cake has cooled, whip the cream with the cream stiffener and spread it on the cake. Immediately after, melt the cake glaze in a bain-marie and spread it generously over the cake. Allow to cool thoroughly before serving.
