Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 balls of mozzarella, each 125 g
- 4 tsp pesto, green
- 1 bell pepper(s), red
- 4 slice(s) ham, air-dried
- 1 tsp thyme, dried
- Salt
- Pepper, white
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Drain the mozzarella balls thoroughly. Halve the balls crosswise. Spread the bottom halves with pesto and season with salt and pepper. Trim the bell pepper, cut it into very small cubes, and arrange it on the bottom halves. Grate the thyme and sprinkle it on top. Cover with the top mozzarella halves. Wrap each mozzarella ball in a large slice of ham and place it on an ovenproof plate. Place the filled mozzarella balls in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Serve best with flatbread and a green salad.
