also

  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 1 tablespoon Clarified butter
  • 1 handful Chopped parsley until smooth
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 100 g Flour type 550
  • 2 piece Eggs “M”
  • 1 Knife point Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Roasting tube – my grandma didn’t have that yet !!
  1. Heat the clarified butter in a very large pan – I used the wok pan for this. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  2. Fry the diced bread rolls and onions until golden, stirring constantly. Finally stir in the chopped parsley.
  3. Mix the flour, milk, eggs, salt and baking powder into a smooth dough and pour over the toasted bread cubes. Mix everything very well and let it steep for half an hour.
  4. In the meantime, bring water to a boil in a saucepan – I also used the wok pan here.
  5. Form two long dumplings out of the dough. It is important to press them together very firmly.
  6. Place the two dumplings separately in a roasting tube, close it tightly and cook the dumplings covered in boiling water for about 30 minutes. Turn around again and again in between.
  7. Take out, remove the foil and cut approx. 2 cm thick slices.
