Hearty dumplings in creamy mushroom sauce

Boil water for the dumplings and prepare them according to the package instructions. In the meantime, peel the onion and dice it into small pieces. Use a cloth to remove any dirt from the mushrooms and dice them. Remove the stems. Sauté the onions and crushed garlic in a little oil or clarified butter in a large pan until translucent. Then add the mushrooms and fry with the onions until cooked through but still slightly firm to the bite. Add the vegetable stock powder, pepper, and paprika. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and immediately stir everything together. Add the cream to the pan and stir immediately to distribute the flour. Simmer for a few minutes. Add the Parmesan cheese and soy sauce and simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
