Dumplings with spring onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry, frozen
  • 6 spring onions
  • pepper, black
  • Ginger powder
  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 150 g cheese, Emmental
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out into 8 squares on a floured surface. Finely slice the spring onions and season with pepper and ginger. Fry the finely diced bacon in a pan. Add the onions and sauté briefly. Remove the pan from the heat. Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the grated cheese for sprinkling on top, then stir in the rest. Spread the mixture onto the pastry sheets. Fold them together to form triangles. Lightly moisten the edges and press them down. Brush the surface with beaten egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese and serve hot.
