Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 220 g butter or margarine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 6 apples
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g raisins
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 30 g sugar
  • some milk, sweetened or condensed milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 50 minutes

traditional family recipe

Knead flour, sugar, butter, and salt into a dough. Take slightly less than half and press into a greased springform pan. Do not form the edges yet. Bake the base for approx. 10-15 minutes at approx. 180°C on the second oven rack from the bottom. Place the remaining dough in the refrigerator. Peel, quarter, and core the apples, and cut into thin half slices. Let the pre-baked base cool slightly, then line the edges with 1/4-1/3 of the remaining dough. Layer half of the apples inside. Press firmly into the sides. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle half of it over the apple layer. Sprinkle half of the raisins on top. Then repeat the process. Roll out the remaining dough into thin strips and form the cake topping (see picture). Brush the strips with sweetened or condensed milk. Bake in the oven for 1 1/4 hours at approx. 180°C. A little lower if the cake colors too quickly.
