Egg Fried Rice

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 serving of cooked, cold rice from the day before
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, e.g. peanut oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, roasted
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp glutamate
  • 1 pinch(s) pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Basic recipe

Finely chop the spring onion, shallot, garlic, and chili. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok, add the shallots, garlic, and chili, and fry until hot. Add the egg and stir-fry. Add the rice, sesame oil, soy sauce, MSG, and pepper, and continue to stir-fry, stirring constantly. When the rice is browned to your desired degree, add the spring onions and serve. Tip: Optionally, you can add extras to the rice in addition to the basic recipe, such as peas, diced carrots, bell peppers, tofu, or shrimp.
