Christmas cookie recipe, makes about 35 cookies

Mix 70g of the powdered sugar with the butter, salt, and egg. Then mix in the dry ingredients: flour, almonds, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and cornstarch. Wrap the dough in foil and chill in the refrigerator for about 1 1/2 hours. Next, preheat the oven to 160°C and line a baking sheet with baking paper. Sprinkle a little flour on a work surface and roll out the cold dough. Using a star cutter, cut out about 60 cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake the stars in a fan-assisted oven for 9 minutes. While the cookies are cooling, mix 100g of powdered sugar with 5 tablespoons of eggnog. Then spread the eggnog glaze on one cookie and place another on top. Finally, decorate the eggnog cinnamon stars as desired.
