Eggnog Gugelhupf

The perfect eggnog gugelhupf recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

for the shape:

  • 220 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml Neutral oil
  • 250 ml Advocaat
  • 125 g Food starch
  • 125 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Butter for greasing
  • Breadcrumbs for sprinkling

for the glaze:

  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 200 g Lemon juice
  • Desiccated coconut
  1. Mix all of the above ingredients into a batter. Then grease a bundt pan with the butter and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Throw away the remaining breadcrumbs. Fill the dough into the mold and bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 180 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes. Let the cake cool, turn it out and make a glaze with the powdered sugar and lemon juice. Spread over the cake and cover with the coconut flakes. Every oven bakes differently, so always try it out!
  2. 2nd tip! To get even more eggnog taste, you can mix the powdered sugar with eggnog instead of lemon juice!
