Ingredients for eggs in mustard sauce
This recipe belongs to those simple and quick dishes that are suitable for every day. Plus, you only need a few ingredients for this inexpensive meal that’s quick to make. Our suggested recipe is enough for 4 people.
- 8 eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp flour
- 500 ml vegetable broth
- 200 ml cream
- 100 grams of mustard
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- salt, pepper, and sugar
Preparation of the mustard celebration
Ask the people eating if 2 eggs, i.e. 4 halves, are enough for them. If necessary, adjust the number of eggs according to the hunger of the guests.
- First, you need to hard boil the 8 eggs for about 10 minutes.
- Serve with boiled potatoes, you should put them on now.
- Put the butter in the saucepan and let it melt. To do this, use medium heat.
- Dust the flour over the melted butter. Stir this in with a whisk until a homogeneous mass has formed.
- Turn the heat on the stovetop to the highest setting. Add cold broth and cream alternately, stirring constantly. Stir until everything is well combined and the sauce comes to a boil.
- Then let the sauce simmer gently and add the mustard. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 4 to 5 minutes. Finally, season them with salt, pepper, and vinegar.
- Peel the eggs and cut them in halves. Add the halves to the sauce to keep warm.
- Arrange eggs, gravy, and the desired side dish, which usually consists of boiled potatoes, on the plates. You can also sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
