Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 50 g butter
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat for the mold
  • nutmeg
  • possibly cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Doesn’t even open

Peel, wash, and quarter the potatoes and cook in salted water. Drain and press them through a ricer while hot. Mix the potatoes well with butter and hot milk. Season with salt and nutmeg. Grease an ovenproof dish and pour in the mashed potatoes. Make four indentations. Crack the eggs into the indentations. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. If desired, you can also top with grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C.
