Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 cube of yeast (40 g)
  • 200 ml milk
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • ½ tsp, leveled salt
  • Grease for the tray

  • 100 g almonds, chopped
  • 200 ml whipped cream

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Place the flour in a mixing bowl. Mix the crumbled yeast with lukewarm milk and add to the flour along with the sugar, softened fat, and salt. Knead everything well. Cover the yeast dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has approximately doubled in size. Knead briefly again, then roll out the dough onto a greased baking sheet. Let it rise for 20 minutes. Spread the butter in small pieces over the dough, sprinkle with sugar and almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C for about 25 minutes. As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, immediately spread the unwhipped cream over the hot cake.
