Like grandma’s, perfect for colds

Bring the water to a boil along with the cinnamon, sliced lemon, sugar, and vinegar. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, turn off the heat and add the elderberries. Cover and let it steep until the brew has cooled. Enjoy either hot or cold. It’s a great remedy for colds. Since elderberries aren’t around for very long, the juice can also be boiled down. The boiling time is about 45 minutes. In spring, the brew can also be made with the blossoms.
