Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg elderberries, fully ripe, stripped
  • 1 kg plum(s)
  • 1 kg peach(s)
  • ½ kg sugar
  • 1 bag of preserving aid
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Place the elderberries in a saucepan and bring to a boil, add the plums, and simmer until the plums begin to soften. Add sugar to taste—this depends on the ripeness of the fruit. Finally, simmer the peaches with the mixture until soft and season with cinnamon. If desired, you can add canning aid according to the package instructions. Pour the elderberry compote into twist-off jars and seal tightly. The compote keeps for over a year without going bad.
