Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g elderberries
- ¼ liter of water
- 2 lemon slices
- 1 pear(s) or apple, cut into wedges
- 5 plums, halved
- 100 g sugar
- ⅛ liter cream
- 20 g starch flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
lightly thickened elderberry compote
Peel the elderberries and wash them thoroughly. Then cook the berries with water, lemon slices, pear or apple, plums, and sugar until compote is obtained. Shortly before serving, combine the cream with the cornstarch, stir in, and bring back to a boil briefly. Delicious with Kaiserschmarren (a pancake with pancakes)—hot or cold.
