Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 elderflower umbels, fully bloomed
  • 750 ml water
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 700 ml vodka or double grain schnapps
  • 250 g sugar, fine

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

Mix the water with the lemon juice and let the elderflower heads steep in it for 12 hours. The next day, strain through a fine-mesh sieve, dissolve the sugar in the elderflower water, add vodka or schnapps, mix well, and pour into clean bottles. It will keep for several months if kept sealed in the refrigerator.
