Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cups emmer
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 cup mountain lentils
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • herbs of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 8 hours 30 minutes

ideal for a barbecue evening

Soak the emmer wheat in 500 ml of water overnight. Cook the lentils for about 20-25 minutes, then combine with the emmer wheat. Add olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Optionally, garnish with herbs. Note: Use a 200-250 ml cup.
