Apple Strudel
The perfect apple strudel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 250 g Sifted flour
- 180 Milliliters Lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon Oil
For the filling
- 200 g Crumbs
- 1,5 kilogram Tart apples
- Butter
- Raisins
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- Knead the flour, oil and the lukewarm water into a dough. Shape it into a ball, brush it with oil and let it rest for about half an hour.
- Then place the dough on a floured cloth and roll out a little. Then pull out the dough until it is transparent. Cut away the thick edge of the pastry.
- Roast the breadcrumbs in butter until golden brown, sprinkle on the strudel pastry sheet and then add the apples, cinnamon and sugar. Apply the filling to ¾ of the pastry sheet. With the help of the cloth, roll up the strudel and place in a greased dish / baking sheet. Now brush the strudel with butter and bake for 30 to 40 minutes at approx. 180 degrees.
