Ingredients

  • 275 g Puff pastry
  • 4 Apples
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 50 g Almond leaves
  • 1 splash Lemon
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Instructions

  • Peel and core the apples. Then cut into medium-sized pieces and pour a squeeze of lemon over them and stir so that they don't turn brown. Add the sugar and the almond leaves and stir well.
  • Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle or use the rolled-out one from the supermarket. Spread the mixture on top. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  • Mix the egg and milk together and brush the edges of the puff pastry with it. Now fold in the filling and lightly press the edges of the dough that overlap. Cut small oblong slits in the top of the puff pastry so that it does not burst open when baking. Close the ends neatly and press firmly so that the filling does not run out during baking. Now brush the entire puff pastry with the egg-milk mixture.
  • Now in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. Tastes delicious warm with a hot vanilla sauce or a scoop of ice cream.
  • Tip 5: Also delicious in summer, e.g. with strawberries
