Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 orange(s), untreated
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 600 ml coffee, espresso or strong coffee
  • 4 pieces of anise (star anise)
  • 600 g gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finely grate the zest of one orange and thinly slice the other. Bring the coffee to a boil with the oranges, orange peel, spices, and preserving sugar. Boil for four minutes (test for settling) and immediately pour into sterile jars. Wintery and aromatic, it also makes a lovely and unusual gift.
