Small pastries – enough for about 16 pieces

Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Mix the yeast with a little warm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar, add to the well, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 10 minutes. Add the remaining milk, sugar, softened butter, vanilla sugar, and egg, and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 cm thick, cut into rectangles, and cover and let rise for about 30-35 minutes. Heat the fat in a pan, lightly roll out the dough pieces, and fry until golden brown. Remove the rolled out pieces and let drain. Roll in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, let cool, and serve.
