Extra Dry Martini

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 10 cl gin, very dry
  • 1 cl vermouth, very dry
  • 1 piece(s) lemon(s) – peel
  • 2 olives, firm green
  • Ice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Chill the gin and vermouth. Pre-chill the glasses. This is best done in the freezer, or fill the glasses with ice cubes and fill with cold water, then let stand until the glasses are cold. Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes and slowly add vermouth until it reaches the bottom of the mixing glass. Strain through a bar strainer. Pour the gin onto the ice (the amount depends on the number of glasses you’re filling; I never use more than 8-10 cl for two glasses). Stir with a bar spoon, but never for longer than 30 seconds, otherwise the gin will become watered down. Pour through the strainer into the prepared glasses. Squeeze the lemon zest over the drink. Add a skewered and previously patted dry olive to each glass.
