Farmer Rolls
The perfect farmer rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 Pork belly slices
- 3 Mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- Marjoram
- 200 g Mixed minced meat
- 2 Onion
- 4 small Gherkins
- 2 Carrots
- 2 Tomato paste
- 1 liter Meatsoup
- Wash off the pork belly slices – pat dry and plate thinly, brush with mustard and season with salt, pepper and a little marjoram.
- Peel the onion and cut into small cubes with the cucumber, add to the minced meat, season with salt and pepper and mix well.
- Now divide the minced meat into three parts and place one part each on a belly disc, roll it up tightly and fix it with toothpicks.
- Heat some fat in a roasting pan and fry the roulades on all sides.
- Remove the roulades, briefly roast the cleaned and sliced carrots and onions, roast some tomato paste and then deglaze with the meat stock.
- Add the roulades again and put them in the 200 c. hot oven for about 60 minutes.
