Farmer's casserole with sausages

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large potatoes, boiled
  • 300 g bratwurst (Nuremberg bratwurst)
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red, diced
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1 pinch(s) caraway, ground
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat. Peel and dice the cooked potatoes. Heat the fat in a pan and brown the Nuremberg sausages all over. Then remove from the pan, slice, and fry again in the pan. In the meantime, bring water for the broccoli to a boil in a pot and cook until just tender. Add the diced potatoes to the pan with the sausages and season with spices. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook in the pan for about 3 minutes. Drain the broccoli, chop it up a little if necessary, and cook in the pan for another 3 minutes. Grease a baking dish and pour in the mixture. Whisk the eggs with the milk, season with salt, pepper, and a little sweet paprika, and pour over the mixture. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
