Feta and spinach tartlets

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 300 g fresh leaf spinach
  • 1 handful of feta cheese, crumbled
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the spinach, remove thick stalks, and finely chop the leaves. Dice the onion and sauté in oil until translucent. Add the spinach and fry until wilted. Now add the cream and simmer briefly. Crumble the feta cheese and fold in. Remove the pan from the heat. Let the mixture cool slightly and stir in the egg. Roll out the puff pastry, cut into 12 equal pieces, and place them in muffin cups. Pour the spinach mixture evenly into the puff pastry-lined cups. Bake the tarts at approximately 180 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) for approximately 20 minutes. Remove the tarts from the oven, let them cool slightly, and enjoy.
