Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 lettuce(s)
  • 200 g cocktail tomatoes
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 10 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • olive oil
  • some water
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • 1 tsp, heaped honey
  • some pepper
  • some salt
  • 3 tbsp oil for frying
  • possibly honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

First, prepare the salad. Wash and chop the lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Then place them on two deep plates and mix. To make the salad dressing, put the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a splash of water, mustard, honey, and a pinch each of salt and pepper into a shaker. Drain the feta cheese and cut it into 4 roughly equal-sized strips. Now prepare the feta cheese garnish. You will need 3 deep plates. On one plate, mix the flour, pepper, salt, and paprika. On the second, beat the egg with the milk, and on the third, add the sesame seeds. Coat the feta cheese first in the flour mixture and then in the egg mixture. Repeat this process once. Then coat the feta cheese in the sesame seeds. Heat a pan with oil and fry the feta cheese all over. Pour the salad dressing over the salad and then drape the sesame-coated feta cheese over the salad. Tip: If you like, you can add a teaspoon of honey to the feta cheese and toast the remaining sesame seeds in a pan and spread them over the salad.
