Ingredients for 15 servings:
- 2 ½ kg goulash (ham goulash, pork)
- 1 ½ kg tomatoes, pureed
- 1 can tomato(s) (Pizza tomatoes, 400 g)
- 1 kg potatoes
- 6 bell peppers
- 8 m.-large onion(s), sliced
- 3 carrots
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 6 tbsp oil (rapeseed oil)
- 5 tbsp ajvar
- 1 tsp marjoram
- 4 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 ½ liters vegetable broth
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp crème fraîche
- 4 tsp paprika powder, hot
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Party soup
Heat the oil in a suitable pot. Brown the meat in batches. Add the onions and garlic and fry. Season with the spices and herbs. Add the ajvar, stir, and simmer briefly. Clean or peel the vegetables, cut into small cubes, and add them. Add the pizza tomatoes and passata. Stir and bring to a boil. Then add the vegetable stock and water. Bring everything to a boil and season again to taste. Finally, add crème fraîche—or more if desired. Serve hot. Serve with bread.
