  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 60 g sugar
  • 65 g butter, soft
  • 6 figs, 6-7 each approx. 70 g, cut into 1 cm thick slices
  • 100 ml cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • some flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 22 minutes

Knead the flour, baking powder, egg yolk, sour cream, sugar, and butter together, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough. Using a cookie cutter, cut out approximately 30 7cm diameter circles and place the fig slices on top. Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the circles on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff, fill a piping bag, and decorate the figs all over with the dough using the smallest star-shaped nozzle.
