  • 4 figs, ripe
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 handful of basil
  • 4 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 balls of mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut a cross-shaped incision in the tops of the figs, about halfway down. Then press the bottom with your finger to open the fruit like a fan. Place on a large plate and wrap each fig with a slice of ham. Tear the mozzarella into pieces and place next to the figs. Mix together the lemon juice, oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper, and season to taste. Drizzle everything over the salad. Finally, drizzle the honey over the figs with a spoon. Garnish with basil leaves and, if desired, season with freshly ground black pepper. Serve with white bread.
