Filled ice cream apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 ml water
  • 250 ml white wine
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 4 m.-sized apples
  • 4 tbsp currant jelly
  • 2 tbsp orange liqueur
  • 8 tbsp ice cream (Fürst-Pückler ice cream)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 37 minutes

Briefly bring the stock of water, white wine, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil. Remove the tops and cores from the apples and let them simmer in the stock for about 5 minutes. Let them cool in the syrup, then drain well and place on glass plates and refrigerate. Mix the stock with the jelly and liqueur. Spoon the ice cream into the hollowed-out apples and pour the red fruit sauce over them. Serve immediately.
