Filo Dough / Yufka – Dough
The perfect filo dough / yufka – dough recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Flour
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt
- 50 ml Water
- Put the flour in a pile on the work surface and make a well. Put in the salt and oil and mix carefully. Slowly add water and knead until a smooth dough is formed that does not stick to the work surface (kneading time approx. 7-8 min).
- Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough very thinly (until the pattern of the work surface can be seen).
- Once rolled out, the dough should be processed immediately as it dries very easily. Do you have to prepare a filling, brush the dough with a little water or put a damp cloth over it !!
- To freeze, place the dough on baking paper and roll it up.
