Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 65 g ground almonds
  • 180 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 80 g margarine, semi-skimmed
  • 2 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • 1 tbsp milk, low-fat
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 3 minutes

Makes about 40 pieces.

Separate the egg. Knead the almonds with flour, baking powder, salt, 80g powdered sugar, margarine, bitter almond oil, milk, and the egg yolk into a smooth dough. Wrap in cling film and chill for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the dough thinly between the cling film, cut out stars, and place on the baking tray. Mix the remaining powdered sugar with the egg white and water until smooth and spread over the cookies. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack with the baking paper to cool.
