Fine sponge cake with apples

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g flour, grippy
  • 100 g starch flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 3 m.-sized apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream together softened butter, sugar, whole eggs, salt, and vanilla sugar until light and creamy. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder and stir into the mixture. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured pie dish (or a square baking sheet with a rim, approximately 22 x 36 cm) and spread evenly. Peel and slice the apples, and distribute them evenly over the batter. Bake the pie at 160°-170° C (320°-340° F) for approximately 50 minutes using a fan oven.
