Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 125 g butter, soft
- 125 g sugar
- some lemon peel, untreated, grated
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 250 g flour
- e.g. almond(s), peeled or almond flakes

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Butter cookies for Halloween
Knead the butter, sugar, and salt. Add the egg yolk and lemon zest and knead in. Finally, add the flour and knead, then refrigerate for 20 minutes. Roll the dough into finger-thick “worms.” Cut into equal-sized pieces. Press the tip of your finger into the dough with the back of a teaspoon and place an almond on top for a fingernail. Press the pieces in slightly to form a finger. Score the creases of the fingers with a knife. Bake at 180°C until golden brown.
