Finnish herring salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g herring fillet(s)
  • 2 onions, red
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 2 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 200 g sour cream, 18% fat content (e.g. Smetana)
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • possibly salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onions and eggs and chop them into small pieces. Cut the herring into small pieces, roll the chives, and finely chop the dill. Combine the sour cream with the mustard and mix with the remaining ingredients. Season carefully with salt and pepper. This fish salad tastes great on Finnish rye bread.
