Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 250 g hazelnuts, ground
- 275 g flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
- 1 egg white
- 100 g powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Knead butter, sugar, nuts, flour, salt, and cinnamon (if desired) into a shortcrust pastry. This can also be done in a food processor. Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick (not too thin). Beat the egg whites and powdered sugar until stiff, then brush the dough over the rolled-out dough. Using a pizza cutter (a knife works too), cut the dough into logs (about 2 x 4 cm) and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 12-18 minutes. The meringue should not brown.
