Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 cucumbers
- 3 sprigs of dill
- 1 shallot(s)
- 1 red bell pepper(s)
- salt and pepper
- Ginger powder
- 1 tsp cane sugar
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, white
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Grate the cucumber. Finely chop the dill and fold in immediately. Cut the shallot and bell pepper into small, roughly equal-sized cubes and mix in. For the dressing, I always use a small screw-top jar. I add salt, pepper, ginger, and brown sugar, then pour on the balsamic vinegar, and then swirl it around for a while to dissolve the sugar. Only then do I add the oil, close the jar, and shake vigorously until the dressing appears cloudy. I then pour the dressing over the salad, stir briefly, and then let the salad sit for about 10 minutes. A small bowl in front of the TV also works well.
