Flaming Hearts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g sugar
  • 600 g butter, room temperature
  • 4 eggs
  • 800 g flour
  • 2 baking powder
  • 2 vanilla sugar
  • some lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 jar Nutella
  • 800 g chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 50 minutes

Here’s my favorite recipe for flaming hearts, which is very crumbly (!): Knead the sugar, eggs, and butter thoroughly. Add a pinch of salt, flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and a little lemon juice, and knead thoroughly. Chill the dough for about 2 hours. Then transfer the dough to a piping bag and shape into flaming hearts on a prepared baking sheet. Tip: If you knead the piping bag a little in your hand, the dough will be easier to pipe. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. Then let cool. Spread two equal-sized pastries each with Nutella (or other hazelnut spread) and place them together. Then dip the bottom half in melted chocolate coating.
