Flatbread with tuna, mozzarella and tomatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 30 ml tomato paste
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2 pieces of flatbread (quarter)
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 ball(s) of mozzarella

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and puree the tomatoes. Add the tomato paste until a creamy consistency is reached. Crush the garlic clove, finely chop the onion, and add both to the sauce. Season to taste with plenty of pepper and a little salt. Drain the tuna (preferably in its own juice, not in oil), finely crumble it, and mix it with the sauce. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit). Slice the mozzarella cheese. Cut the flatbread lengthwise, add the sauce, and add a few slices of mozzarella to each slice. Grated cheese would probably work instead of mozzarella. Then return the whole thing to the oven for 10 minutes. It tastes simply delicious. The dish can also be easily reheated in the microwave.
