Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 30 g yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Sugar (granulated sugar), for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy. Add the eggs (previously soaked in warm water), salt, and flour. Finally, add the yeast dissolved in warm milk. Knead into a smooth dough. Roll out finger-thick logs on a bed of sugar and cut 30 cm long pieces. Fold in half and twist around each other to form flax braids. Let rise for 30-45 minutes, then bake for 15 minutes at 200°C until golden brown.
